Arrived at the Shores house at 11 am with the rented Cruise America RV. Missey had all of our stuff along the driveway.for quick loading. We left Overland Park at 11:30 am and headed north on I-29. At 12:30 pm Missey fixed special wraps for lunch while we were still traveling north. They were very good.
At 2 pm took a stop for gas and discovered that we had crossed into Iowa earlier. We got to Sergeant Bluff, Iowa at 4:15 pm. There are a lot of autos, buses, and RV’s in town. Plenty of volunteers giving directions. Went to an outdoor expo showing bike stuff and then downtown to entertainment including Elvis and the high school drill team. Had refreshments at Ed’s Tavern and checked out the food vendors along Main Street. Back to the RV for appetizers and sandwiches. Then chatted with all of our new neighbors in the RV parking area.
